Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on, compliance, risk management, and regulatory matters
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
Oversee litigation strategy and manage outside counsel when necessary
Ensure firm policies and procedures comply with state and federal laws
Support internal teams with legal risk assessments and mitigation strategies
Conduct legal research and stay updated on industry regulations and trends
Advise on employment law issues, including hiring, terminations, and workplace policies
Assist in relevant business transactions when applicable
Address intellectual property concerns, including trademarks and confidentiality agreements
Liaising with senior members of staff
Qualification
Required
JD or LLM required
10+ Years of Legal Experience
Must be active and admitted in at least one U.S. Jurisdiction. Preference will be given to candidates admitted to the New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania state bar
Sound understanding and knowledge of real estate litigation. Preference will be given to candidates who have a default services background
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent negotiating and drafting skills
Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business
Ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in terms that non-legal colleagues can understand
Ability to remain objective, discrete and exercise commons sense at all time
