GFiber, an Alphabet company, is focused on providing exceptional internet services and is looking for a Technical Program Manager for Outside Plant (OSP) Construction. The role involves managing construction operations, overseeing project budgets, vendor performance, and ensuring adherence to engineering and municipal standards.

Responsibilities

Manage project budgets, scheduling, resource/activity planning, activity sequencing and prioritization, vendor performance tracking, project dependency awareness, financial reporting, invoice approval, and material management

Manage, develop, and maintain vendor contracts, terms, and construction schedules with the project team, ensuring project milestones and delivery dates are aligned with business commitments

Communicate progress with internal/external stakeholders to ensure that projects are scoped properly and handed off seamlessly for network acceptance

Foster an open, transparent, and cross-discipline change management process

Ensure projects are built according to approved engineered design plans and GFiber specs and standards in adherence to current contracts, SOW’s, and municipal requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

5 years of experience in fiber and/or telecommunications construction program/project management within large, capital intensive and technical scopes of work

5 years vendor management experience directly managing vendor resources, performance management, and accountability for project-based deliveries

3 years of experience scheduling projects, capital tracking/forecasting, reporting project status and costs versus commitments, and providing insights/ influence to commercial terms with contractors and vendors

Preferred

PMP, PgMP or other project management certification

Experience in analytical and solutions-oriented roles with an emphasis on financial and operational performance

Understanding of CAD, GIS systems and FTTH records/As-builts

Experience managing telecommunication infrastructure, Fiber to the Home/Plant (FTTx) operations, and/or outside plant (OSP) projects

Ability to influence and resolve disputes with internal / external stakeholders while balancing multiple competing priorities to meet business deadlines
