Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the overall strategy, technical roadmap, and architectural standards for automation and observability
Design and implement end-to-end automation solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like Python and Bash
Develop and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and pipelines to streamline processes and reduce manual effort
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and design solutions that meet business needs
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineering teams on automation best practices
Utilize observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement
Create and maintain technical documentation, dashboards, and reports to provide insights into system performance and automation effectiveness
Explore opportunities to leverage AI/ML technologies to enhance automation and observability solutions
Qualification
Required
Must have excellent, clear communication - this is a Technical Leadership role, so must have strong ability to interface with clients and leadership
10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture with a focus on Observability and Automation
Solution Architect who has an overall understanding of how enterprises function and how to ensure a solution is aligned
This is a hands-on technical role, so experience MUST include hands-on technical experience in most recent roles
8+ years of experience in AWS
Understanding of AI and when to use AI
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
10+ years of experience in software architecture, solution design, or technical leadership, with demonstrated experience in automation and observability solutions
Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like Python and Bash
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS), observability tools (preferably Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.), and automation technologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex technical issues
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation testing frameworks
Understanding of 'Shift-left' and 'shift-right' security approaches, including practices such as SAST, SCA, secrets detection, RASP, and chaos engineering for enhanced security and resilience
Preferred
8+ years of experience in observability tools - Dynatrace and Splunk preferred
Familiarity with Harness for continuous delivery and deployment
Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools and understanding of when to use AI tools
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, prompt engineering, natural language processing, and predictive analytics
Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies
