Responsibilities

Communicating with clients, experts and witnesses
Requesting and managing medical records
Scheduling depositions
Propounding and responding to initial drafts of written discovery
Trial preparation including the creation of trial binders
Attending inspections and medical examinations
Negotiating medical bills and liens
Managing case documents electronically
Compiling evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, transcripts, and databases
Preparing legal documents for attorney's review and approval

Qualification

Required

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation paralegal working at a trial law firm
Ability to handle a case from the filing of complaint to trial
Excellent organizational and writing skills
Good rapport with clients
Ability to handle a heavy case load
Strong working knowledge of the CCP, FRCP and Evidence Code/Rules

Preferred

Experience in plaintiff's litigation
Spanish-speaking
Experience with Litify and Milana
