Responsibilities

Develop and implement improvements to control systems and equipment using Factory Information Systems (FIS) data
Lead problem-solving efforts to resolve equipment performance issues
Coordinate troubleshooting resources to identify root causes and implement fixes
Assist in training manufacturing personnel and plant electricians
Integrate controls into IT systems such as FIS, Error Proofing, QWX, and QTS
Troubleshoot machinery, robots, automation, and control systems to minimize downtime
Use FIS plant monitoring software to review equipment cycle times
Manage and coordinate project installations and reprogram equipment for engineering changes
Maintain program backups for machinery and automation
Program new installations of automation, machinery, material handling, and robots
Participate in risk assessments to evaluate equipment safety

Required

Applicants must be able to work directly on a W2 basis
High School Diploma or GED
5 years of related experience in a similar field
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), including Siemens, Rexroth, and Allan Bradley
Proficiency in using client software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to collaborate with maintenance teams, vendors, and process team members

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in engineering
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Experience with 8D and 5Why problem-solving techniques
Knowledge of Lean Tools such as 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
Understanding of UL508A requirements and NFPA79 standards
Proficiency in Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal programming and troubleshooting
Experience with Siemens power line and solution line configuration and programming
Fanuc controls troubleshooting expertise
