Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment throughout the hotel
Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis
Lead, manage and communicate information about capital projects and property rehabilitation
Communicate with hotel department heads to become aware of maintenance needs and ensure timely response to internal requests
Hire, train, evaluate, and lead all maintenance staff
Qualification
Required
At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in a hotel
Experience with several areas such as HVAC, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping
Ability to perform in a high-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines
Ability to effectively respond to emergencies
Ability to stand/sit, carry/lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend/twist, climb stairs
Be prepared to be on call at all times in case of emergency including nights, weekends, and holiday
