Senior M365 Engineer
MicroAge is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer with strong Tenant-to-Tenant Migration experience to lead and execute various Microsoft 365 projects. The ideal candidate will specialize in Microsoft 365 migrations, ensuring secure and efficient data transfer across tenants.

Responsibilities
Assess source and target Microsoft 365 tenants
Develop detailed migration plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
Perform migrations of Exchange Online mailboxes, SharePoint Online sites, OneDrive accounts, Teams, Google to M365 migrations and other Microsoft 365 workloads
Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migration
Configure and migrate Azure Active Directory users, groups, and roles
Implement secure authentication and conditional access policies post-migration
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements during migration
Validate data security and retention policies in the target tenant
Resolve migration-related issues promptly and diligently
Provide pre and post-migration support and documentation
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements
Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
Migrate chat history, voice, channels, and files from other collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack)
Upgrading Teams architecture or consolidating Teams environments
Deployment of Teams Voice
Implement Microsoft Purview (Compliance Manager, DLP, eDiscovery)
Configure Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Protection
Data classification and retention policy setup
Azure Active Directory setup and synchronization with on-prem AD
Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) and passwordless authentication
Deploy Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise (Office suite)
Configure Windows Autopilot and Intune for device management
Implement third-party backup solutions for Microsoft 365 workloads
Design business continuity and disaster recovery strategies
Develop governance frameworks for Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
Drive user adoption and training programs
Qualification
Preferred
5+ years experience with M365 services and M365 tenant to tenant migrations
Strong knowledge and proficiency of the following: M365 Apps, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, MS Teams, Azure, Endpoint Management, Threat protection/Security, Identity/Access management, Purview, Migrations
Familiarity with migration tools such as Quest Migration Manager, BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate, AvePoint, Mover.io, etc
Experience with creating and utilizing PowerShell scripts
Proficiency in pre-sales activities around architecting, designing, and building accurate M365 solutions for clients of all sizes and calibers
Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, MS-700, MS-100, MS-101 etc.)
Proficiency in Exchange Server and related components
Strong problem-solving skills to understand and resolve both simple and complex technical issues while communicating clearly with all stakeholders
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Follow company process and standards to ensure efficient workflow and quality results
Delivery experience with large scale M365 Service engagements as well as migration projects involving mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures
Deep experience with security and compliance frameworks within M365
Deep experience in accurately scoping M365 and Tenant to Tenant Migration solutions
