Responsibilities
Understanding and applying agency design standards in the design of civil infrastructure
Using hydrologic and hydraulic programs (ICPR, HEC-RAS, Bentley software, etc.) in the analysis of storm water
Modeling water and wastewater systems (using WaterCAD and SewerCAD)
Preparing roadway design (using Civil 3D and/or INROADS)
Writing Basis of Design or other reports related to Road, Drainage, and/or Water and Wastewater Utility Improvements
Coordinating with other disciplines in the development of construction drawings and specifications
Coordinating with internal and external clients
Occasional travel (up to 10% of time) for field work and meetings
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil Engineering (MS is a plus)
E.I.T required. Preferred on track for PE licensure in Florida
3+ years of site/land development experience required including a thorough knowledge of the requirements of local, State and Federal agencies having site plan approval jurisdiction
Thorough knowledge of local development approval process including site design and grading, stormwater management and erosion & sediment control design, and utility design
Extensive site stormwater management design and permitting
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Proficient in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members
