Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project execution using structured project management practices and tools such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint for scheduling, tracking, and documentation
Develop and maintain a detailed work plan including milestones, dependencies, resource assignments, and level of effort
Coordinate content development activities with the web development contractor to ensure compatibility with Drupal CMS workflows, templates, and publishing standards
Ensure adherence to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Section 508, and ADA Title II requirements across all content deliverables
Oversee application of Maryland Digital Playbook standards and Plain Language Initiative guidance across all written content
Review and approve content strategy outputs, taxonomy models, SEO recommendations, content governance documentation, and website style guides
Manage quality assurance processes for migrated content, including validation of metadata, tagging, accessibility, and formatting
Facilitate bi-weekly status meetings and deliver progress reports using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Identify and mitigate risks related to accessibility compliance, content readiness, dependencies, and schedule alignment

Required

Minimum five (5) years of experience managing digital content, website modernization, or public-sector content strategy initiatives
Demonstrated experience overseeing projects involving CMS platforms (Drupal preferred), accessibility compliance, and SEO
Strong understanding of content governance frameworks, UX-informed content strategy, and fixed-price project delivery
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field
