Responsibilities

Acts as a point of contact for matters regarding Safety. Monitors compliance with established Company Safety policies and procedures. Reports issues regarding Safety to the appropriate individual(s) immediately upon identification

Provides/oversees training of all new hires and/or associates transferring to new positions within the Plant; provides feedback to Supervisor on training progress and requests additional training resources if needed. Recommends Associate for Qualification when appropriate

Assists in coordinating assigned operations on shift to ensure standards are attained and resources are used in an efficient manner

Monitors operations regularly to ensure efficiency/productivity; keeps Supervisors advised of all matters affecting production; recommends methods and procedures designed to eliminate operational problems when appropriate

Update and maintain efficiency boards on plant floor; seeks resources when appropriate

Alerts Supervisor to observed maintenance needs, especially those involving Associate Safety

Monitors plant/area housekeeping and quality standards and directs efforts to resolve unsatisfactory compliance to either

Assists Supervisors with transitioning to the next shift

Responsible to give breaks to all other operators

Must be familiar with baggers, labelers and palletizing equipment

Must be able to operate a forklift

Participates in Company-sponsored activities, committees and meetings such as safety and audits
