Fund Accountant Manager

The Fund Accounting Manager will be responsible for all accounting operations for assigned funds, including closing and reporting to investors, maintaining the general ledger, and collaborating with various teams to ensure comprehensive accounting.

Responsibilities

Responsible for closing and reporting to Investors on a quarterly and annual basis
Collaborate cross-functionally with Deal Team, Treasury, Investor Relations and Property personnel to ensure comprehensive accounting for assigned Funds
Maintain and review the general ledger for multiple fund entities
Monitor cash balances and review weekly and monthly bank statement reconciliations
Prepare and review quarterly financial reporting packages
Manage the quarterly close process including preparation and review of journal entries
Prepare and review quarterly/annual financial statements, quarterly capital statements, distribution and capital call notices, and quarterly work papers for internal review and quarterly reporting support
Calculate and review capital calls, distributions, and management fees
Perform IRR and waterfall calculations
Prepare and review all investor-level requests
Be a point of contact during annual audits ensuring prompt submission of supporting documentation and respond to inquiries as needed
Mentor and coach Fund accounting staff to maximize their performance and development
Prepare and review ad hoc financial analysis, projects, and special projects as assigned

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
7+ years of fund accounting experience
Experience in the financial services and/or real estate industry
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Advanced excel skills required
Working experience in the general ledger and financial statements
Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
