Responsibilities

Provides essential operational and administrative support to the GI/Hepatology division
Ensures that daily clinic and procedural workflows are well-organized, coordinated, and aligned with departmental and regulatory standards
Supports leadership, providers, and nursing teams by managing schedules/calendar, coordinating meetings, facilitating communications, and maintaining key administrative records
Performs other duties as assigned
Works on operational and/or procedural assignments that require the exercise of considerable discretion and independent judgment
Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments
Will be required to support staffing office and work early hours

Required

Three (3) years recent administrative experience in a Special Procedures department (or similar healthcare environment)
Demonstrated excellence in customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Possess effective time management skills
Strong MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Payroll experience required
Highly detail-oriented
Must possess the ability to work effectively and equitably with others
Must be able to work various hours and locations (including weekends and evenings) according to business needs
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical

Preferred

Medical terminology training and/or certificate
Epic scheduling/template experience preferred
Experience with OR equipment and patient transport
