Responsibilities

Contribute to hardware designs on Cisco 8000 series routers
Write hardware specs, develop test plans
Use Cadence/Allegro to capture schematics
Bring up systems with ASIC Teams and execute engineering validation in the lab
Work on products from concept to production
Interact with cross-functional teams for technical discussions
Address technical problems and issues
Debug issues the lab using analysers, scopes

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree with 7+ years' experience or master's degree with 4+ years' experience in electrical or computer engineering
Experience with hands-on board design
Experience with lab bring up and design validation
Experience with shipping products
Expertise in Board Design using industry standard tools such as Concept, Allegro, or equivalent tools

Preferred

Experience writing hardware functional specifications
Experience with High-Speed Network Interfaces (10G/25G/100G)
Experience with control interfaces such as PCIe, MDIO, SPI, I2C
Experience designing systems with DDR4/DDR5 DIMMs
Experience with tackling signal integrity issues and board mounted power design and distribution techniques
Experience working with programmable devices such as FPGAs, CPLD
