Responsibilities
Lead full lifecycle of closure projects—from concept to production—ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met
Work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and other teams to ensure successful launches
Guide the design and development process to ensure compliance with OEM standards and industry regulations
Select and manage suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Drive continuous improvement in product design and production efficiency
Lead engineering teams in implementing process improvements and design changes
Validate designs through benchmarking, engineering validation, and customer feedback
Maintain project documentation and report status, risks, and milestones to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
8+ years of automotive engineering experience
Expertise in body closure systems (doors, hoods, tailgates, etc.)
Strong understanding of lightweight materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques
Experience resolving complex technical issues with focus on cost, quality, and timelines
Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, Siemens NX), PLM systems, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
