Responsibilities
Perform general specimen processing support functions, including A-station, presort, specimen pickup and delivery, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting
Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Learn and understand specimen types related to tests ordered by clients
Learn and comply with changing compliance regulations related to test ordering
Work in a production environment with strict productivity and quality standards
Enter data with a minimum speed of 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour
Follow safety practices while working in a biohazard environment
Sit or stand for extended periods as required
Communicate effectively with all levels of staff
Adhere to core values, safety policies, and compliance procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to change

Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment
Strong organizational skills
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as required
Ability to meet productivity and quality standards
Willingness to work in a biohazard environment
Data entry proficiency
Basic computer skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous laboratory experience preferred
Medical background with knowledge of clinical laboratory terminology preferred
Previous hospital laboratory experience preferred
Previous production environment experience preferred
