Developmental Education Learning Coach (PT)
Passaic County Community College is seeking a Developmental Education Learning Coach to assist in improving the academic retention and completion of students. The role involves monitoring student progress, providing academic advising, and collaborating with faculty to support student success.

Responsibilities
Assist with the development, administration, and evaluation of retention programs
Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate interventions and services
Assist in the identification and implementation of development and instructional support resources for the special needs program participants
Maintain accurate records of student progress and interactions
Ability to make referrals college offices and administration as needed
Meets individually with all assigned students (in person, online, and by phone) on a regular basis to provide academic advising and degree planning
Develops programming and provides resources to students in support of their academic progress and career development
Applies best practices in academic advising to assist students in selecting programs of study, discerning fields of study, and connecting to experiential opportunities
Collaborates with other advisors at PCCC to develop a strong advising community and to deliver programs that support student success and retention
Works collaboratively with student success team, departmental associate chairs, program directors, faculty mentors, and other members of the faculty and staff on student academic progression and student concerns
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Student Personnel Services, Education, Social Work, or related field
Strong verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Experience in working with academically disadvantaged students in an urban setting
Proven ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, organize, prioritize, and work collaboratively
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
