Responsibilities

Calendaring all case deadlines and events
Formatting, proofreading, finalizing, serving, and filing legal documents, including Summons & Complaints, Motions, Briefs, Notices, and Subpoenas
Interacting with clients to obtain information
Preparing retainers, record authorizations, and record requests
Providing a high level of secretarial and administrative support to various desks
Drafting correspondence
Managing all case-related documents
Updating all case-related data in Case Management program
Coordinating travel arrangements and scheduling of meetings

Required

Strong desire to grow within the firm as a legal assistant or paralegal

Good rapport and empathy with clients
Ability to handle a heavy workload and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong willingness to learn and apply knowledge of the CCP, FRCP, and Evidence Code/Rules

Preferred

Spanish-speaking skills
Experience with Litify
