Mechanical Engineer II

Responsibilities
Perform technical execution of tasks, recommending solutions to complex technical problems related to design, manufacture, integration, and production sustainment of mechanical sub-systems
Contribute to first article inspections, work instruction reviews, material dispositions, and root cause investigations to production issues
Prepare technical justification analysis reports and present to Engineering Review Boards
Commit to program schedule and budget, and 3D parametric modeling
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience
Two years' experience in mechanical design and/or design documentation
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Proficient in 3D CAD tools (modeling and drawing)
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5
Experience in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal, structural analysis, energetics, principals, control systems, interconnect, airframe, or large assembly development
Proficient in CREO (modeling and drawing) and Windchill (PDM)
Active DoD issued security clearance
