MacLean Power Systems is seeking a Robot Technician to assist in programming, testing, and optimizing robotic systems for automation. The role involves hands-on experience with industrial robots and collaboration with engineers to improve robotic systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and modifying programs for industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB)
Support debugging and troubleshooting of robotic systems to improve efficiency and reliability
Conduct simulations and offline programming to test robotic movements before deployment
Collaborate with engineers to integrate robots with PLCs, sensors, and vision systems
Assist in configuring robotic controllers and optimizing cycle times for automation processes
Help analyze system performance data and suggest improvements
Maintain records of robot programs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for robotic systems
Support continuous improvement initiatives for robotic automation and safety compliance
Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field
Basic knowledge of industrial robotics and programming languages (e.g., RAPID, KRL, Fanuc TP, Python, or C++)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred

Familiarity with PLC programming, vision systems, and automation technologies is a plus
