Prior Authorization & Scheduling Coordinator - Twin Cities Orthopedics

The Prior Authorization & Scheduling Coordinator will support the clinic and physician care team by providing essential administrative and patient care services.

Responsibilities

Submitting, tracking, and following up on prior authorizations for infusion and specialty medications
Communicating with insurance companies, providers, and patients regarding PA status and requirements
Scheduling and updating infusion appointments in alignment with approved therapy plans
Ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR and maintaining compliance with clinic protocols
Serving as a liaison between the clinical team, infusion center, RN’s, providers, and patients to support timely and efficient care delivery

Qualification

Medical terminologyPrior Authorization experienceScheduling experienceCustomer serviceAdministrative experience

Required

High school diploma/GED or equivalent
Customer service experience
Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines
Ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines. Prioritize workload effectively
Communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions
Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Preferred

Administrative or medical office experience
Medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred
Prior Authorization and scheduling experience
