Responsibilities
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough records in a proprietary database
Manage exceptions and review the database for errors and corrections
Perform routine data entry, including entering new orders and shipment information into computerized tracking systems
Trace shipments with steamship lines, trucking vendors, railroads, and other suppliers, updating information into operations systems
Troubleshoot and resolve exceptions, responding to escalated service requests
Provide input to team leader and group manager on departmental initiatives and process improvement projects
Perform typing, faxing, mail distribution, phone messaging, and other office-related duties as required
Scan and separate documents in the Document Management System
Update schedules, logs, and tasks daily
Update all operating systems as required, including quality assurance and user acceptance testing
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in data entry
Strong customer service skills
Basic knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
High school diploma or equivalent (HSED); some college preferred
One year of experience with increasing responsibilities in a similar or related industry
High degree of problem-solving capability
