TicketManager is a leading company in the live events industry, providing ticket and event management software. They are seeking a VP, VIP Sales & Service to drive strategy and operations for their marketplace business, focusing on growth and partner management while leading a team of 5+.

Responsibilities
Own the overall strategy, P&L, and roadmap for TicketManager’s VIP (buy) and All Access (sell) marketplace businesses, with a focus on driving sustainable, profitable growth and stickiness to the software platform
Serve as the business owner for the marketplace business and work cross-functionally with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success
Define and own the overall growth strategy including pricing, positioning, customer segmentation, and account expansion plans
Own the sales strategy and develop playbooks that allows the team to scale sustainably
Manage the sales team supporting VIP and All Access (hiring, training, quotas, coaching, performance management, and budgeting)
Lead relationships with strategic partners, primary rights holders and marketplaces, including negotiating commercial terms, securing priority supply, and managing SLAs and performance
Build a scalable partner strategy and playbook: onboarding, business reviews, incentive structures, and quality standards
Design and implement the long‑term operating model for the marketplace, including workflows, staffing models, coverage, and escalation paths
Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure marketplace systems (internal tools, partner integrations, pricing engines, and ticket delivery) are robust, scalable, and tightly integrated into the TicketManager platform
Build a data‑driven culture in the marketplace business: define metrics, build dashboards, and run experiments to improve pricing, conversion, and utilization
Streamline payments processes to reduce friction, minimize operational overhead, and optimize costs (e.g., fees, chargebacks, manual reconciliations)
Continuously improve day‑to‑day operations so the team is spending time on the highest‑value activities and automation is used wherever possible
Qualification
Required
7-10+ years of overall experience with experience in marketplaces, ticketing, live events, or related B2B/B2B2C businesses; at least 2+ years in leadership roles owning P&L and managing a team
Deep understanding of supply/demand dynamics, pricing, and economics in a marketplace environment
Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing strategic partners, ideally including primary rights holders and/or marketplaces
Demonstrated ability to design and scale operational models, streamline workflows, and use systems and automation to drive efficiency and consistency
Experience leading sales or revenue‑adjacent teams—setting quotas, coaching reps, and aligning incentives to business outcomes
Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure problems, interpret data, and turn insights into action
History of partnering effectively with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing to deliver integrated customer experiences and hit aggressive growth targets
Hands‑on builder who brings clarity, ownership, and urgency. Thrives in a fast‑growing, sales‑led environment with high expectations and high visibility
Preferred
Experience with ticketing, live events, or sponsorship inventory is strongly preferred
Relationships with primary ticketing providers, secondary marketplaces, and hospitality re-sellers preferred
