Nelson Global is seeking a Material and Configuration Analyst to improve inventory control and product configuration in their manufacturing plant. The role involves training personnel, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring overall inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

Participate in inventory improvement projects and have the knowledge to evaluate root causes of inventory transaction issues in the plant
Train plant personnel on the proper operation of handheld scanners and troubleshooting barcode printer issues and maintaining supply of labels and ribbons
Determine an items bill of material from a NGP or Customer supplied drawing
Determine if all items in (Subassemblies and End item assemblies) manufacturing routing are correct for completion of the end product
Accurately access the pieces required per hour for an operation to be done
Lead the plant's annual physical inventory; run the appropriate reports
Responsible for the overall inventory accuracy of the plant; includes verifying non-conforming items are dispositioned correctly- scrapped, returned, fixed
Resolve Bill of Material and routing charge-out discrepancy issues
Proactively look for items that have a less than positive margin for improvements related to margin or validation of margin issues
Oversee the plant cycle count process and audit the data on counts before data entry
Daily scrap/shrink transactions
Creating rework/remake jobs as required by Quality Department
Resolve transactional issues and make necessary adjustments; verify inventory inquiries from internal Planners- shortages, verification of quantity and allocation concerns
Communicate any recommended changes in bill of material or routings to the required internal team members that must approve and/or are impacted
Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor

Required

Minimum Required Years: 5
Prior experience with inventory control and product configuration in a manufacturing plant is desired
ERP experience desired (Oracle)
Analytical and detail-oriented
Able to read and understand blueprints
Ability to prioritize under stressful conditions
Adhere to all safety guidelines and PPE requirements
Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate professionally at all levels
Self-motivated
Able to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, policies, and procedures
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required
