Mortgage Loan Originator -Vancouver, WA
Residential Mortgage is looking for professional and knowledgeable employees who take pride in their work. The Mortgage Loan Originator solicits and develops a variety of residential mortgage loans and maintains good sales relationships with realtors and other mortgage referral sources.

Responsibilities
Receive and screen loan applications. Receive authorization to run applicant credit as well as review income/asset information, notify those applicants that are not qualified within the proper timeframe
Conduct the loan interview and secure the customer information necessary to initiate a loan transaction. Provide loan information and service to customers, realtors, and others as needed
Based on specific investor guidelines, determine if the borrower(s) qualify for the loan program applied for
Order a real estate appraisal for a purchase or refinance transaction
Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the local real estate market; current and predicted lending rates; and changes in rules, regulations, and best practices of various mortgages
Develop and maintains contacts with local realtors, developers, and builders to promote and encourage the use of bank services for residential mortgages
Follow applicable state & federal laws and regulations
Comply with company, FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and industry standard rules and guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years of lending experience
Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Registration and annual certification with the National Mortgage Loan Licensing Registry required
Exceptional communicator with the talent to easily identify issues, problems or concerns and mentor staff to self-discover resolutions and solutions
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Thorough understanding of Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Veterans Affairs (VA), Federal National Mortgage (Fannie Mae), Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC), and other types of construction and conventional loans
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements, income tax returns, investor policies, and governmental regulations
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, printer, fax/copier, and telephone
