Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate an agency-wide, multidisciplinary volunteer program

Deploy qualified volunteers and interns to work alongside staff in delivering services and supporting daily operations

Collaborate closely with Health Brigade leadership and managers to support staffing needs and organizational capacity building through effective volunteer engagement

Required

Minimum of three years of professional experience in volunteer engagement

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human services field and/or Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and volunteer management systems (Volgistics experience a plus)

Strong relationship-building skills with diverse individuals in an interdisciplinary healthcare environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills; solution-focused, collaborative, and able to exercise sound judgment

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop, maintain, and improve systems and processes

Ability to supervise, motivate, and support volunteers and staff

Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment while upholding Health Brigade's mission and core values

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for volunteer trainings and community events

Reliable transportation required

Preferred

Experience in healthcare or human services settings

Bilingual (English/Spanish)
