Research Associate I - Microbiome Program

Responsibilities
Support microbiome research efforts by performing nucleic acid extractions and preparing sequencing libraries from a variety of specimen types
Perform extraction of high-quality DNA and RNA from microbiome samples, and preparation of libraries for 16S rRNA gene sequencing, shotgun metagenomics, and metatranscriptomics
Assist with receiving, aliquoting, cataloging, and storing biospecimens in accordance with established protocols
Have great attention to detail, good laboratory practices, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences
0-2 years of research/laboratory experience
