Field Service Engineer
Praetorian Power Protection is a leading provider of electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance services. We are seeking multiple highly skilled and NETA-certified Field Service Engineers to perform electrical testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on power distribution systems.

Responsibilities
Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low, medium, and high-voltage electrical equipment in accordance with NETA standards
Conduct electrical commissioning of new and upgraded power systems
Test and calibrate protective relays, transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear
Utilize diagnostic tools, such as power quality analyzers, insulation resistance testers, and thermal imaging equipment
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure proper system functionality
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in power distribution systems and equipment
Prepare comprehensive reports detailing test results, findings, and recommendations
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project success
Provide technical support and training to customers and team members as needed
Travel to client sites for fieldwork, sometimes on short notice
Qualification
Required
NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV) required
3+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or maintenance
Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power systems, and industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, NFPA 70E, etc.)
Experience working with relay protection schemes and control systems
Proficiency in using electrical test equipment such as Doble, Megger, Omicron, or similar
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong communication and customer service
Willingness to travel and work in various field environments
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
Preferred
Associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Technology, or related field
