The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking a Director of Development for St. Mary's Annapolis. The Director will be responsible for organizing fundraising efforts for the parish and school, including managing annual giving, major gifts, and cultivating relationships with donors.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Plan, manage and implement annual giving, tuition assistance and major gifts opportunities. This includes, but is not limited to prospect identification and research, cultivation, solicitation, gift processing, database management, acknowledgements and stewardship

Identify potential major donors - individual (80%), corporate (5%) and foundation (15%). Cultivate and steward prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis to establish effective communication with them

Direct the annual fund program, including mailings and annual fund-raising drives

Develop and manage a portfolio of prospective donors

Collaborate with capital campaigns and other major fundraising drive management

Set priorities to meet annual goals in development

Work to create and support a culture of philanthropy within the parish and schools

Promote understanding, acceptance and support of the vision and mission statements and objectives of the parish and schools

Assist with events within the advancement department - assisting in securing sponsors, event planning details, execution and more

In coordination with the Events and Alumni Coordinator, identity fund raising opportunities to engage St. Mary's alumni in giving

Collaborate with communications and marketing discussions, but these two areas do not fall under the managerial purview of the Director of Development

Work with the finance department on proper recording of donations/contributions
