InterSources Inc is seeking a Financial Markets Data Analyst to join their IT group focused on Private Credit. This role involves evaluating and optimizing financial market data feeds to improve investment processes and explore how market data can support automation and analysis using AI.

Responsibilities

Analyze and assess various financial market data feeds to identify valuable insights for the investment and asset management teams

Develop and maintain data processing systems to ensure efficient handling of real-time and historical market data

Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI to present complex financial data in an easily digestible format

Collaborate with stakeholders to define data needs and project goals, ensuring alignment with investment strategies

Explore and implement innovative ways to leverage Generative AI in financial data analysis and insights generation

Evaluate and recommend new data sources and vendors to enhance our market intelligence capabilities

Experience with financial databases/APIs like Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet, Intex, S&P, Markit, Moody's Ratings etc

Enable the development of API's / data warehouse solutions for consumption by multiple business functions / internal IT team

Liaison with Market data vendors to understand and analyze their offering and determine applicability to business needs

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field

Strong experience in financial markets data analysis, preferably within an IT or quantitative role

Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL or high proficiency in Excel

Solid understanding of financial instruments, market microstructure, and economic indicators

Demonstrated interest and knowledge in Generative AI and its applications in financial analysis

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for data processing and storage
