Responsibilities

Responsible for financial and regulatory planning models; understands and can communicate key planning assumptions; reviews actuals and provides variance explanations compared to projections monthly; prepares reporting packages and analysis for key stakeholders
Analyzes historical and forecasted results to develop strategies that enable Entergy Operating Companies to earn their allowed ROE; performs ad hoc analyses to support strategy development and decision-making, including possibility of new cost recovery mechanisms; and provides analytical support and research for major utility initiatives
Creates financial models to evaluate scenarios and communicates recommended path forward
Supports continuous improvement in the monthly process, systems and models. Documents process and best practices
Communicates with other departments to gather information about Entergy’s businesses and transactions. Communicates with subject matter experts across the company to better understand the risk of certain projects and / or investments

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent work experience
Financial Analyst Lead: 5+ years of professional experience in finance, accounting or the relevant field
Financial Analyst Senior Lead: 6+ years of professional experience in finance, accounting or the relevant field
Works well in a group environment
Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions
Knowledge of the rate-making and regulatory recovery process
Ability to understand and model complex financial transactions
Ability to prioritize multiple time sensitive projects effectively
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Good understanding of the impact of regulatory and financial decisions on business results, including credit metrics
CPA or CFA strongly desired
