Civil Engineer
Radin Consulting, Inc. is a transportation planning and design firm seeking a detail-oriented Civil Engineer to support public infrastructure projects. The role involves planning, scope development, and overseeing various aspects of civil engineering projects for MTA.

Responsibilities
Design and supervise all aspects of projects for MTA
Perform civil and structural feasibility studies, including analyzing historic data, surveys, reports, and as-builts to create innovative civil and structural design projects
Review all civil, structural and related work throughout project phases
Work with manufacturers to identify and ensure designs comply with the requirements and constraints of equipment and materials
Conduct site visits to obtain existing conditions and properly identify design and construction risks
Ensure that phasing plans coordinate with architectural design
Plan and coordinate required permits and approval documentation that aligns with approved designs
Develop project delivery packages (such as various design documents, drawings, presentations, calculations) to support both design-build and design-bid-build projects
Adhere to corporate quality control standards
Coordinate and work collaboratively with MTA Civil Engineers and external stakeholders
Perform project controls, administrative duties, and other related work
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering and related field – advanced degree in a related field, preferred, but not required; or
An associate's degree and six (6) years of relevant industry experience
A high school diploma or its equivalent and ten (10) years of relevant industry experience
Proficiency in MicroStation CADD software
Demonstrated experience developing civil and structural drawings, including construction phasing plans that include modifications to load-bearing surfaces
Experience interpreting drawings and specifications relevant to civil and structural components of station areas, right-of-way facilities including design considerations for load-bearing surfaces and sub-surface condition assessments
Demonstrated ability to generate both simple and complex analytical reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
Substantial experience coordinating services of architectural experts and architectural entities
Experience with team building, listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
Preferred
Project Management Professional certification is preferred but not required
