Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded software using C and/or model-based tools such as SCADE
Create functional and interface design specifications
Implement embedded application and device driver software
Develop application simulators for testing
Perform requirements-based testing and integration testing on target hardware
Manage project execution, ensuring alignment with technical requirements and deadlines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded software into hardware systems
Qualification
Required
Must have experience in a regulated environment
Must have strong experience in C programming for microcontrollers (focus on computation)
Must have experience coding in a black box environment
Must be familiar with software development and design standards such as DO-178, ISO 26262, EN 50128, IEC 61508, or IEC 62304
Not looking for web-based development
Must have project leadership experience, owning projects from start to finish, managing execution
Must have experience in the Aerospace or Manufacturing industry
Must be a US Citizen
Must be comfortable working onsite and relocating independently (no relocation assistance available)
BS in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
5+ years of experience in software development, verification, and/or integration
Strong technical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Project management experience (owning projects from inception to completion)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
C Programming experience
Experience with model-based development using SCADE or similar tools
Experience developing embedded software control systems
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
Experience managing requirements using DOORS or DOORS Next Gen (DNG)
Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) or digital filter design
Experience with ARM microprocessors
Experience with serial communication protocols such as CANbus, ARINC, or RS-232
Familiarity with aerospace software certification standards such as DO-178, DO-330, and DO-331
Familiarity with industrial certification standards such as IEC 61508
Familiarity with functional safety standards such as ISO 13489, IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 26262, or ARP4761
