Space Suit Project Engineer

They are seeking a Project Engineer at the NASA Johnson Space Center to execute projects and deliver hardware in support of exploration missions, focusing on space suit and crew survival systems.

Responsibilities
Participate in hands-on development activities
Write Task Performance Sheet
Disposition of Discrepancy Reports
Generate, review and understanding engineering drawings
Support Human-In-The-Loop testing
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and test space suits and related hardware
Develop and maintain project documentation, including project reports and technical memos
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in space suit design
Familiarity with NASA Flight Hardware development requirements and processes
Effective at handling multiple tasks, flexible, and responding quickly to change
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
This position is expected to be 100% on site and in person
Occasional travel may be required
Preferred
Preferred experience with data management and process optimization
Familiar with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Experience with troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical equipment and software
Proficiency with NASA/JSC tools: MIDAS, CDS, QARC, ELABEL, EDS, ISS PART, JEDII
