The Bioinformatics Intern will support the Bioinformatics team in developing bioinformatics pipelines and analyzing next-generation DNA sequencing data, conducting research and development projects with guidance from team members.

Responsibilities
Conduct a research and/or development project centered on one of our prenatal assays
Improve next-generation sequencing analysis pipelines under the guidance of Bioinformatics team members
Communicate through presentations, written reports, and/or code review
Collaborate with scientists and support new scientific insights
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Bioinformatics, Biology, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Bioengineering, Physics, or other related fields
Strong programming skills in Python and R
High mathematical and statistical aptitude
Great attention to detail
Curious about pursuing a career in Bioinformatics
Preferred
Familiarity with MS Excel, bash, AWS, SQL, and git
Research experience in bioinformatics, biology, or physical sciences
Molecular biology (DNA purification, PCR, electrophoresis) or next-generation DNA sequencing laboratory experience
