Mount Sinai Health System is one of the largest academic medical systems in the New York metro area, and they are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to lead projects aimed at developing innovative gene/drug delivery systems for applications in immunotherapy and in vivo gene writing. The role involves exploring novel non-viral delivery technologies to advance gene editing and immunotherapy treatments for severe diseases such as cancer and genetic disorders.

Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and analyze novel LNP formulations
Design and synthesize new biomaterials for drug/gene delivery
Design and conduct in vivo experiments to evaluate the delivery efficiency and therapeutic impact of the new delivery system
Perform CRISPR gene editing protocols
Conduct immunological assays, including flow cyttmetry, ELISA, ELISPOT, and cytokine profiling, to assess immune responses
Perform molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, qRT-PCR, Western blotting, and sequencing, to analyze gene expression and editing outcomes
Collaborate with team members to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and troubleshoot technical challenges
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results in accordance with lab standards
Supervise and mentor junior lab members, including graduate students and technicians, as required
Critically analyze data quality and results, and communicate findings to scientists and non-specialists
Write or assist in writing scientific papers and grants
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. Degree required
Experience working in a research laboratory setting
