Iron Mountain is a global leader in storage and information management services, and they are seeking a Summer Intern for their Data Center Operations Internship program. The intern will receive on-the-job training and contribute to the operations of critical power, cooling, environmental, security, and support systems within the data center.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of IMDC’s critical power, cooling/environmental, security & support systems and facilities to meet or exceed uptime service levels

Proactively support the safety of the environment & occupants and ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work

Perform limited maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of the data center heating and cooling systems and overall facility

Permit and monitor contract vendors

Monitor, resolve and update all assigned service tickets using IMDC’s ticketing system. Including trouble tickets and customer installations of electrical and physical equipment

Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment and inspect buildings, grounds, and all equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning operation

Escort and periodically check vendors while performing maintenance to ensure that the rules and operating procedures are followed

Proactively identify issues and take the needed steps to resolve them. Assist with service delivery tasks when needed
