Interns will collaborate with senior CPU architects and researchers, and have opportunities to publish research results at top-tier computer conferences.

Responsibilities

Writing a research proposal

Performing synthesis

Place and route in SKY130 technology using Openlane

Generating custom cells using MAGIC

Writing RAM/ROM compilers for use in the Openlane flow

Qualification

Required

Students in computer engineering, computer science or related fields

Experience with Openlane using SKY130 technology

Experience using MAGIC

Experience writing RAM/ROM compilers

Experience with scripting languages

Research experience in publishing conference or journal papers in the computer architecture or related fields

Good verbal and written communication skills

Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter, who can deliver outcome independently and in a team environment

Preferred

PhD preferred

Experience in using industry-standard synthesis, place and route, and layout tools (plus)

Knowledge of AI architecture and trends in the field, especially in compute-in-memory designs (plus)
