Fundraising and Development Manager

The United Indians of All Tribes Foundation (UIATF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the urban Native American community in Seattle, WA. They are seeking a dynamic and passionate Fundraising and Development Manager to lead and grow the organization’s fundraising efforts, securing financial resources and cultivating meaningful relationships with donors and community partners.

Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet annual revenue goals, incorporating strategies for individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, planned giving, and special events
Donor Cultivation & Stewardship: Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors. Create and manage donor engagement and stewardship plans to ensure positive experiences and long-term support
Grant Writing & Management: Identify funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources. Write compelling proposals, manage submission timelines, and ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements
Special Events: Plan and coordinate fundraising events, including the annual gala, community fundraisers, and donor recognition events. Work with committees, volunteers, and vendors to ensure successful events that meet fundraising targets
Corporate & Community Partnerships: Cultivate sponsorships and collaborative partnerships with tribal entities, corporations, small businesses, and community organizations to increase financial and in-kind support
Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate donor records using donor management software (e.g., GiveSmart). Track fundraising metrics, prepare performance reports, and provide updates to the senior leadership team, and Board of Directors
Marketing & Communications Support: Partner with the marketing team to design fundraising communications, including appeals, email campaigns, newsletters, and social media content that increase donor engagement and public awareness

Required

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations, or related areas
Demonstrated success in achieving fundraising goals and developing comprehensive strategies
Strong grant writing, proposal development, and reporting skills
Experience planning and executing successful fundraising events
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, volunteers, donors, and community stakeholders
Proficiency in donor database systems (e.g., GiveSmart) and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

A passion for UIATF's mission and a strong understanding—or willingness to learn—about Native American cultures and communities is highly preferred
