Topa Group, Inc. is partnered with a reputable Fire Protection company in Pittsburgh, and they are seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Systems Designer to support the design and coordination of fire suppression systems for commercial and industrial projects. This role focuses on producing accurate, code-compliant designs that meet NFPA standards, local AHJ requirements, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

Design fire suppression systems including clean agent, kitchen hood, and specialty systems
Prepare shop drawings, layouts, and hydraulic calculations
Review project documents and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams
Ensure designs comply with NFPA codes and local regulations
Support submittals, revisions, and as-built documentation

Qualification

Fire suppression systems designNFPA standards knowledgeAutoCAD proficiencyNICET certificationCommunication skills

Required

Experience designing fire suppression systems
Proficiency with AutoCAD (or similar design software)
Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire codes
Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

Preferred

NICET certification (layout/design) preferred but not required
