Communication Equipment Installer Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions
Construct components, subunits, or simple models, adapt standard equipment, and troubleshoot system failures through various skill methods to correct malfunctions
Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment
Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts

Required

Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or High School and 2 years of related experience
Must have appropriate experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems
Minimum of Position of Trust
US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract

Preferred

Active CAC card is desirable
