Responsibilities
Lead, hire and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement
Champion career development and continuous improvement through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and career development planning
Build a positive, high-performing team culture willing to take calculated risks
Guide architectural decisions and ensure technical excellence across projects, particularly in support of services and APIs for a multi-tenant SaaS application
Build an AI-first team embracing emerging AI trends and toolsets
Collaborate with engineers to review designs and code to improve quality and consistency
Ensure teams follow best practices in testing, documentation, performance, and security
Ensure team executes with strong agile principles, providing constant visibility of progress, obstacles and projections
Partner with product management define requirements and project milestones
Monitor progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement mitigation and improvement strategies
Contribute to the engineering roadmap and long-term technical strategy
Help define team structure, hiring needs, and resource planning
Champion process improvements and operational excellence initiatives
Serve as a key liaison between engineering and business stakeholders
Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Advocate for engineering needs, including tooling, infrastructure, and process enhancements
Qualification
Required
Highly skilled in leading, mentoring, and growing a team of talented engineers
Experience in delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions
Strong technical leadership and people management skills
Ability to align engineering organization with business goals
Experience in building data integration capabilities
Knowledge of AI and legacy system integration use cases
Experience in guiding architectural decisions and ensuring technical excellence
Ability to build an AI-first team embracing emerging AI trends and toolsets
Experience in reviewing designs and code to improve quality and consistency
Knowledge of best practices in testing, documentation, performance, and security
Experience in executing strong agile principles
