Jr Graphic Designer
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a leader in life-changing breakthroughs in cancer research and patient care. The Junior Graphic Designer will support the department’s medical oncology faculty by creating high-quality visual content for various projects, including social media, marketing materials, and academic presentations.

Responsibilities
Brochures, postcards, handouts and other print collateral
Digital signage and other visual ads
Digital illustrations and infographics
Email and e-newsletter design
Digital graphics and infographics
Dynamic PowerPoint presentations
Web pages, sections and landing pages
Dynamic, social media friendly content such as animations and short-form video
Posters, slides and advertising materials for scientific conferences
Graphic design for plain language research summaries and clinical trial recruitment materials
Graphic designs for patient and provider forum discussions
Qualification
Required
BFA, or BA required, with a focus on graphic design preferred
1-3 years of experience are required
Demonstrated excellent understanding and application of design principles
Strong typography skills
Adept in key Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
Fluency in Mac-based systems
High fluency in digital design, including web page and e-newsletter design
Solid pre-press knowledge
HTML/CSS understanding
Excellent communication, presentation, project management, leadership and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Knowledge of web-authoring software helpful, but not mandatory, (i.e. Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, HTML)
Knowledge of photography helpful, but not mandatory
Knowledge of video production and editing tools (Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro is helpful but not mandatory
