Founding Account Executive

Icon is seeking a Founding Account Executive who will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle and establishing long-term partnerships. The role involves sourcing leads, conducting discovery calls, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients in the paid social and performance creative space.

Responsibilities

Own the full sales cycle: discovery, pitching, negotiating, and closing
Build and manage a healthy pipeline of DTC and enterprise opportunities
Run high-quality discovery calls to uncover pain points, goals, and success metrics
Develop and deliver tailored proposals, decks, and scopes that align with client objectives
Collaborate with creative, strategy, and operations to ensure what you sell can be delivered at a high level
Maintain accurate CRM hygiene and sales forecasts, no black box pipelines
Nurture relationships with warm leads, previous clients, and partner referrals
Stay on top of performance creative, UGC, and paid social trends so you can speak the language of our buyers
Help refine our sales messaging, collateral, and outbound strategies as we scale
Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, not a pushy salesperson, focused on long-term value and fit

Required

2–5 years of experience in a sales or account executive role (agency or marketing services experience strongly preferred)
Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
Strong understanding of digital marketing, paid social, and/or performance creative
Exceptional communication and presentation skills — both written and verbal
Comfortable running structured discovery calls and handling objections with confidence
Highly organized, metric-driven, and comfortable managing multiple deals at once
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes

Preferred

Bonus: experience selling into DTC brands, eCommerce, or marketing leaders (CMOs, Heads of Growth, Performance Marketing Managers)
