Responsibilities
The Sr. Automation Engineer designs and programs control systems using Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk View to automate and optimize industrial equipment
The engineer travels to customer sites about 30% of the year (and w/in the USA) to commission systems, ensuring smooth integration and reliable performance
Some site visits may be to troubleshoot or debug
They also collaborate with customers and internal teams to refine electrical designs, update schematics, and provide hands-on training for operators and maintenance staff
Qualification
Required
Education: HS Diploma or GED
5+ years of Allen Bradley programming and HMI - FactoryTalk View for complex conveyor systems
3+ years of traveling to manufacturing customer sites for troubleshooting or commissioning of new industrial equipment
3+ years of customer facing experience
Electrical and/or mechanical background
Strong problem solving experience
Preferred
Experience working within the industrial food processing or food machinery industry
Experience designing electrical schematics
