Advising managers and employees on a wide range of human resources topics in a dynamic public sector environment

Leading and performing functions across multiple human resources areas, including recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations

Overseeing human resources operations for staff across all library locations

Required

Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, human resources management, industrial relations, or a closely related field

Four (4) years of professional human resources experience in more than one HR functional area or program

At least one (1) year experience functioning in a lead capacity

Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities

Maintenance of a valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required
