Responsibilities

Perform the full journey level, most complex, analytical tasks relating to the provision of federal and state homeland security grants within the Cal OES Homeland Security Grants
Review, analyze, process, and prepare responses to a broad variety of forms, documents and correspondence pertaining to federal, and where applicable, state homeland security and related grant programs
Meet legal, regulatory, and internal deadlines on all assignments
Formulate procedures, policies, and program alternatives, making recommendations on program-related issues and advising management on the potential impact
Travel throughout the state approximately 25% of the time, conducting programmatic site visits, making presentations and transmitting program information via public speaking forums, and work overtime as necessary in support of Cal OES program objectives

Required

Flexibility to work in a team environment
Possess working knowledge of grants administration
Demonstrate a high level of customer service across multiple platforms (i.e., phone, email, in person)

Ability to compose clear, concise, grammatically sound documents
Follow oral and written directions and carry out prescribed tasks
Ability to analyze data and conduct research to draw effective conclusions
Work well under pressure
