Responsibilities
Perform vehicle-level thermal management testing and data analysis, including environmental chambers and on-road evaluations
Hands-on instrumentation and data acquisition system setup and operation
Continual improvement of processes and/or products
Qualification
Required
This position requires a minimum Junior (3rd-year) standing working toward a BSME or equivalent degree in a related major
This position will coordinate with engineering and technical support staff to prepare and instrument trucks and conduct testing under the supervision of experienced members of the team. This may include project and trip planning, test set up, data collection and analysis, and report writing
Excellent technical, communication, and team skills
Ability to manage personal workload and willingness, flexibility, and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands
Fundamental knowledge of automotive vehicle systems
Moderate domestic travel may be required of this position
Preferred
Heat transfer, thermodynamics, and/or fluid mechanics coursework completion preferred
Familiarity with analytical tools is desired (such as MATLAB/Simulink)
