Compliance Intern - Summer 2026
Consumers Credit Union (CCU) is one of the largest, fastest growing credit unions in Illinois, seeking students for their IGNITE Intern Program. The Compliance Internship involves researching regulations, comparing operational processes to regulatory requirements, and preparing reports for Compliance Management, providing valuable insights into the regulatory environment of the banking industry.

Comparing CCU operational processes to regulatory requirements
Confirming compliance through sample file reviews
Preparing reports for Compliance Management
Collaborating closely with the Compliance Program Manager on compliance reviews
Qualification
Required
Currently attending an accredited college or university
Rising juniors and seniors working toward a bachelor's degree in Business or related. Rising sophomores may be considered
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Ability to work 32 hours per week for the summer (generally 8:00-5:00 Monday-Thursday) for the duration of the 12-week program (5/26/2026 – 8/13/2026). The schedule will involve onsite days based in Lake Forest, IL. Local candidates only
Proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite including email, calendaring, and instant messaging
Strong organizational skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and ability to write a report
Ability to work independently
