CATEGORY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - HYBRID, CHARLOTTE

The Category Development Manager will drive strategic initiatives focused on sustainability and carbon measurement, managing supplier relationships and developing category strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Data Collection & Management: Establishing systems for gathering consistent data from suppliers, business travel, waste, and other value chain activities
Strategy Development: Working with category teams, operations, and other departments to find and implement supplier decarbonization strategies
Reporting & Compliance: Preparing reports for internal stakeholders and external requirements (e.g., GHGP, CSRD, etc)
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with suppliers and customers to encourage and influence participation in emission reduction efforts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Minimum of 4 years' experience in supply chain, category, sustainability or related field
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to extract insights from complex data sets using advanced excel skills
Ability to influence through direct and indirect teams
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Up to 5% Travel Annually
Preferred
carbon measurement methodologies and tools experience preferred
