Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of real-time analytical strategies for macrocyclic peptides
The project focuses on applying machine learning to analytical chromatography to help enable preparative separation
Develop and optimize analytical methods (HPLC, LC-MS, UV-Vis) for peptides
Develop a machine learning model to predict optimal separation conditions
Summarize and present experimental findings to multidisciplinary teams
This internship offers hands-on experience with advanced analytical instrumentation and exposure to a cross-functional research environment focused on next-generation therapeutic modalities
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field
Foundational knowledge and experience of organic chemistry
Basic understanding and hands-on experience in chromatography (HPLC/LC-MS) and spectroscopy (UV-Vis)
Mass Spectrometry
Proficiency in Python
Strong experimental and data interpretation skills
Enthusiasm for problem solving and innovation in analytical chemistry
Preferred
Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch)
Experience operating or interpreting data from HPLC or LC-MS
Prior laboratory experience
Proficiency with literature search
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
